Our Licensed Massage Therapists provide an essential part of B & B treatment. We recommend that all patients receive at least 30 minutes of manual therapy after their treatment with Dr. Kelly. This will help your alignment hold longer and help you heal faster. The common types of massage used by our therapists are:
Myofascial Release – Myo means muscle and fascia is the elastic connective tissue wrapped around muscles and other parts of the body. During myofascial release restrictions (stuck areas) are located and gentle sliding pressure is applied in the direction of the restriction to stretch the tissues. The stretching of tissues and the heat imparted by the practitioner’s hands are thought to help produce a softer consistency of fascial tissues
Trigger Point Massage – Trigger point massage utilizes ischemic compression of individual areas of hypersensitivity in muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia. These trigger points are defined by their referral of pain to distant locations in muscles, connective tissues and organs.
Sports Massage – Sports massage is applied to athletes to help them train and perform free of pain and injuries. Massage therapists blend classic Swedish strokes with such methods as compression, pressure-point therapy, cross-fiber friction, and joint mobilization, to meet the special needs of high-level performers and fitness enthusiasts.

Manual Massage Therapy – 25 Minutes or 55 Minutes
This therapy is performed to compliment your adjustment with Dr. Kelly, and is sometimes called Medical Massage. It is designed to relieve specific muscular problems that affect your alignment, posture and activities. This is the most common massage treatment at B & B and is conducted while clothed.
Therapeutic Massage – 55 Minutes or 80 Minutes
A more traditional massage, still focused on your health goals, available upon request. Performed while unclothed (to your comfort level) and fully draped, with massage lotion.
Prenatal Massage – 55 Minutes or 80 Minutes
Massage gives great benefit for pregnant women. Improving circulation, relaxing tight muscles and relieving foot and low back pain. With special body cushions, most women are able to lay face down on the massage table throughout their pregnancy, which can be a real treat.
